I just came back from an amazingly wonderful time in South East Asia. During that trip, I rented an apartment in a small village named Majuben and enjoyed the local people, sceneries and most of all – the foods. But let’s get to the point – we’re here to talk about coconuts.
I absolutely fell in love with that nut (fruit?). We had many many trees spread around the village and I used to consume around 2 coconuts a day. I loved it. The locals told me that the ‘longest living people in the Philippines’ are the mountaineers who live mostly on veggies, root vegetables, coconuts (locals call it ‘Buko’ in the Philippines) and larvae. Not sure if that’s true, but that’s what they said.

Now I’m back to my homeland and I was thinking to myself – ‘Where the heck can I buy coconut oil now?’. After a little research, I came up with the following result. I have taken a look at the history of the company. Seems like the founder of Nutiva is a very health councsious guy who is the author of four books about organic stuff. I tend to trust him. Also, their coconut oil has a combined rating of very close to 5/5 from 1000 (!!!!) buyers. I guess their name stands before them for a reason. I haven’t used the product yet, but every single review that I’ve read was very positive, so I feel very safe to recommend it to my readers. I’ll buy it too.

You can use ‘Nutiva Store Locator’ to see where you can physically get the oil near your place, or you can just get it from Amazon. For me that was way easier, but your mileage may vary..
